Inductive IFS-H all-metal search coils with microprocessor-controlled electronics are appropriate for metal detection with highest search sensitivity.

The IFS-H is mainly used for the detection of metallic particles in packed or unpacked products, in particular in the food sector.

Ferrous particles, but also other metallic pollutions like stainless steel, aluminium, copper etc. are detected.

Operating principle:

Metal search coils IFS-H series consist of a detector coil (transmitter and receiver) with microprocessor controlled electronics.

Metals in the product change the high frequency electromagnetic field inside the detector coil. This field change (energy shift) is converted into a switching impulse by the highly sensitive electronics. When a metallic particle is detected, for example the belt conveyor is stopped or reversed. Acoustic and/or optical signals facilitate the monitoring. The metal particle can be separated manually or automatically. The influences by conductive or wet products are electronically compensated.

IFS-H inductive metal search coils preferably protect the product quality in food applications or at every other area, where the quality level of the finished product requires metal separation with high sensitivity demands.

For applications in the recycling industry or for protection of grinders and similar machines we recommend the type IFS-T with divisible search coil.

Details:

Metal search coils IFS-H series are supplied in round or rectangular execution in closed coil version.

The round coil aperture is mainly used for metal detection in gravity fed pipes and can be combined with a pneumatically operated switch. The rectangular execution is mainly used for belt conveyors or with material slides with subsequent manual or automatic separation.

Thus practically all metal detection tasks can be solved with standard devices. Special custom-made versions with special dimensions are available at short-term delivery.
