Magnets

for removal of ferrous metals from bulk materials

Magnets Magnets remove ferrous particles from different raw materials.
They are used in practically all areas where bulk materials are processed.

Magnets are available in permanent or electromagnetic version in a multiplicity of different designs and systems and different dimensions.


Magnets are used for the following aims:

Machine protection
Magnets protect processing machines in reliable and economic way against damages, machine failures or deadlocks caused by ferrous particles. Injection moulding machines, extruders, calanders, mixers and mills can be protected just as reliably as augers, forming tools, stamps and other machine parts against metallic pollution in the raw material. Production deadlocks or quality losses are prevented thereby.

Product protection
Intensified quality requirements apply to all raw materials and in particular products in the food sector. This requires an extremely precise metal removal from this materials. Even smallest ferrous particles with sizes of > 30 µm can be separated.

Recovery of raw materials
With magnets valuable raw materials are recovered. In particular in the recycling industry ferrous metal parts are segregated with permanent and electromagnetic systems of the most diverse types.

Applications:

Magnets are used for the removal of ferrous particles from different raw materials in the following areas:

Magnets show their efficiency particularly in combination with devices for non-ferrous separation. It is possible to separate the residual non-ferrous metals by eddy current (coarse metals) or electrostatic separators (fine metals) . The result is a maximum metal recovery and a practically metal-free product.

By the use of different magnet types with different sizes and dimensions practically each iron removal problem can be easily solved.
