Operating principle:
The metal/non-metal mixture to be separated is given into the hamos WSS separation unit and is conveyed to the high frequency magnetic field. This magnetic field results from a fast rotating drum magnet, which induces an electrical eddy-current in the non-ferrous particles. The eddy current is proportional to the conductivity of the material.
Due to the eddy-current, the metal grains are shot out in conveyor direction. The non-conductive fraction is not affected by the magnetic field and falls off from the belt.

The models:
We supply non-ferrous metal separators hamos WSS with different useable belt widths from 400 mm to 1500 mm.
The throughput amount per 1000 mm width can reach more than 20,000 kg/h, depending on the specific weight and bulk density of the material.
